Dr. Victor Shola Akinsooto is a specialist in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility with over 10 years experience in obstetrics and gynecology, with a significant part of this being dedicated to fertility and endocrinology. He completed a two-year subspecialty fellowship in Gynecologic Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at McMaster University. He is certified in Gynecologic Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility by the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada. Prior to that he received the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

He is also a Fellow of the South African College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists.Dr Akinsooto’s practice interests include infertility treatments – IUI, IVF, ICSI; recurrent pregnancy loss, early pregnancy assessment, polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), endometriosis, fertility enhancing minimally invasive surgery, and microsurgical tubal ligation reversal. He is an experienced reproductive surgeon with advanced skills in hysteroscopic and laparoscopic surgery.Dr. Akinsooto is an active member of the Canadian Fertility and Andrology Society, the American Society for Reproductive Medicine and American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists. He is affiliated with McMaster University and he is actively involved in the training of residents and medical students.

He has presented at various national and international conferences, and his research works have been published in peer reviewed Journals. Most importantly, he has a passion for helping and advocating for families affected by infertility to achieve their goal of parenthood.

Michael Neal is a Co-founding Partner and the Scientific Director of ONE Fertility. He completed his Masters Degree in Biomedical Sciences at the University of Guelph, focusing on the reproductive consequences of chromosome abnormalities. His career in Human IVF started by working in a private clinic in Toronto, and he has since worked as a Laboratory Manager in public and private clinics from 2000.

Michael Neal’s experience in clinical Assisted Reproductive Technologies and his keen research interests have gained him an international reputation for innovation and excellence. He has numerous peer-reviewed publications and is a frequent reviewer for many major scientific journals related to reproduction. He is a recipient of the prestigious Laboratory Innovation in Fertility and Embryology (LIFE) Award. Other honours include: Best Basic Science Paper, Best Clinical Paper, Alpha Exchange, and the R.T. Weaver Award, among other acknowledgements. In addition to his clinical responsibilities, Mike has research interests in the following areas: (a) the effect of environmental contaminants on fertility, (b) non-invasive measurements of embryo quality, and (c) fertility preservation for male and female oncology patients.

Mike is a member of the Canadian Fertility and Andrology Society (CFAS); the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM); International Society for Fertility Preservation (ISFP); European Society of Human Reproduction and Endocrinology (ESHRE). He is a past executive member of the ART Lab SIG and CFAS Board of Directors and is also on the Advisory Board of Fertile Future, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping cancer patients preserve their fertility. Mike is actively involved with Fertility Preservation initiatives. He currently sits on the POGO Sperm Cryopreservation task force, and the Ontario Oncofertility Committee and is frequent contributor to the Cancer Knowledge Network

Fariba Khosravi, M.Sc., Ph.D.

Fariba has her Ph.D. in Reproductive Biology  from Queen’s University and her Master’s of Science in Human Anatomy from Tehran University of Medical Sciences. Fariba began her career in IVF for over ten years ago at the Royan Institute in Tehran.  She has since worked at the Erfan General Hospital as an Embryologist and in Toronto as a Research Associate in an Andrology laboratory. During her IVF career she has published multiple papers in journals such as the Journal of Assisted Reproduction and Genetics, and the Archives of Gynecology and Obstetrics.  Fariba has been a part of the ONE Fertility Kitchener Waterloo family since 2014.
