Infertility Counselling in Guelph

At ONE Fertility Kitchener Waterloo, we provide reliable and discreet infertility counselling in Guelph and the surrounding areas.

We understand that struggling with infertility can be difficult and that it can take a toll on other aspects of your life—from your career to your personal relationships. We want to help you though this obstacle, which is why we offer infertility counselling services, as well as recommendations for other services.

We can help you cope with the stress that often accompanies infertility and provide you with support both individually and within a group setting. Sometimes it’s beneficial talk to people who understand what you are going through and who have the tools to help you along this journey.

Here’s what you can expect when you book an infertility consultation at our state-of-the-art fertility clinic.

First Infertility Counselling Visit: What to Expect

ONE Fertility Kitchener Waterloo is located just outside of Guelph in Kitchener-Waterloo; however, we also welcome patients from Cambridge, Stratford, Woodstock, Listowel, Fergus, Elmira, Milton, and other areas of Ontario.

Before your first infertility consultation, you will need to obtain a referral from your family doctor. Once we’ve received your referral, our new patient coordinator will reach out to you within the week to schedule your first consultation.

During your first consultation, we require both partners (when applicable) to be present. We ask that both of you complete your health history forms before your appointment and that you bring your health cards with you to the appointment. Telemedicine appointments can be offered for those who prefer at this time, as per COVID-19 precautions.

You will meet with a clinic nurse, as well as our Medical Director, Dr. Victor Shola Akinsooto, who will address any question you might have and provide you with information about our infertility counselling services.

You can expect to do some follow-up tests during your first consultation and you may want to schedule a follow-up appointment for six weeks later. Prepare to be available for consultations for up to two hours.

Infertility Counselling: Second Opinion

Given that infertility is a complicated issue, sometimes you may be presented with multiple treatment options. How do you know which one is the best option for you?

We believe a second opinion is always valuable to have. At ONE Fertility Kitchener Waterloo, we are at the forefront when it comes to advancements in the fertility world. We approach each patient with a unique perspective and strive to educate our patients about their fertility options, so you can have peace of mind knowing that your team has your best interests in mind.

If you would like a second opinion, we would be glad to provide you with one.
